I am currently studying towards my diploma in nursing after which I will become a R.G.N ( Registered General Nurse). My partner is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years experience. We have one child and have relatives in Burnaby, near Vancouver. My partner has been offered a job from his uncle. What are our chances of immigrating once I qualify?

Qualifying now or later? Assessment recommended (in reply to: Job oppotunities)
Hi Karen.

It sounds as though your partner may qualify now as Principal Applicant under the Skilled Worker Program now, especially in light of the potential offer of employment. However, if not, you would likely qualify after at least one year of continuous employment within a Designated Occupation (e.g. nursing).

I recommend that you seek further assessment for both you and your partner, so as to gain a better idea of your current and future prospects. If interested, please visit http://www.e-ca.ca/efees.htm to begin step one of a two-stage assessment process. It´s free, but more importantly, it´s thorough.

Enquiry about job opportunities (in reply to: Job oppotunities)
Hi

I am from India presently doing my MBA (Masters in Business Administration) with an Australian University.

I am confused on the job opportunities in Canada. Is there better scope for MBA graduates specilised in Marketing or Finance? I would like to do a specialisation based on the market demand in Canada.

Can you please help me out with this query?

Thanks and regards.

Mr. Vinod Varghese
