Subject: Fingerprint
hi there. I am an in-canada applicant, my AOR is July 04. I was not requested for Fingerprint at all. I did fingerprint even before I applied for Immigration. I don´t know whether it will be connected to my file later, but I haven´t been requested for fingerprints, I even did my medicals after being requested in April 05. My IA is April 05. Is it possible that sometimes they don´t request for RCMP fingerprints?

I think so.
I was told by my friends who were requested to do finger prints (they got their P.Residence in Dec. 2004 and the whole procedure took 22 months), that it usually necessary for those, who move in and out of Canada, but if one stayed here for some time without moving out- fingerprints are not requested. But anyway, the fingerprints must be "fresh" (done quite recently). I would not worry about them at all, until the CIC will ask you.
I fugured out, the solution of the problem (any) usually comes then the hope is almost lost. Another my friends, who actually applied throught Quebec, got their passport request a month before their visa´s expiration date. Try to find some temporary job, just to be on the safe side, may be part-time technician at your University or just speak with your former supervisor. Actually I transferred from MSc to PhD just to be be able to stay in Canada while waiting, I did not plan it.
Another thing, did you noticed that very few people got something recently, I calm myself with the idea, that July- is a vacation time at CIC, in August things will get better, could be? :))
Good luck to all of us!

Another questions- did you sent the information that you got your degree already? I think it´s rather important.

Hey hell, thats so nice of you, taking time to write.

I haven´t sent my degree completion letter to CIC yet. I have applied for graduation, but the thing is, the DEGREECOMPLETION letter that we get from Registrar´s office, once we request this letter, they mark the the day I completed my degree and they count 90 days from that day.
Do you think if I send the DEGREE COMPLETION letter, my application will be processed fast?

The thing is if I send the letter, then it officially tells the CIC that I have completed my course in Canada and still staying in Canada, which doesn´t look good. Can you plz suggest something in this case?

I don´t really know, sometimes I think (I might be wrong)that the reason for that long procedure is that while you are international student, you have to pay a HUGE tuition fees, but when you get your degree, it meens you can find a job and pay good taxes. One of my frieds, who applied through Quebec, said that he was told by the Canada immigration to sent his documents approximately a year before his assumed date of graduation. I´m afraid to mislead you, just think on this matter and may be try to consult with somebody else for assurance.

FRAUD AGENCIES (in reply to: Fingerprint)
I got my fingerprinting done from J. K. COnsultancy for the FBI criminal background check for Canada immigration. It got rejected because of the quality of fingerprints taken by them was of very poor quality. Whole credit for such kind of service goes to J k. The expert that was send by J k did not have any experience in taking the fingerprint nor was she an employee of the company and of all she was using the normal stamp pad to take my fingerprints.
