HI EVERYONE
I AM HAVING FAMILY CASE IN PROCESS.MY SISTER IN
VANCOUVER SPONSERED ME IN AUGUST 2004.ME AND MY
PARENTS LIVE IN PUNJAB,INDIA.
AFTER SPONSERING US IN AUGUST 2004,SHE GOT
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER AFTER FEW DAYS.
NOW I HAVE FEW QUESTIONS IN MY MIND,WHICH ANYONE PLZ
ANSWER.
MY QUESTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:-
1)WE WERE SPONSERED IN APRIL 2004,AFTER
HOW MANY MONTHS,MY APPLICATION WILL BE SENT TO NEW
DELHI FROM MISSISAUGA?
2) I KNOW ONE WEBSITE WHICH TELLS THAT PROCESSING OF
PARENTS APPLICATION IN MISSISAUGA HAS BEEN STOPPED?
THE WEBSITE IS www.sponsoryourparents.ca .IS THIS
TRUE?
3)HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS PARENTS
APPLICATION IN NEW DELHI,AFTER APRIL 18th?

1. yes the file first goes through mississauga. once your sister has been approved to sponsor you and your parents, the file is then sent to the local visa processing office and in your case it is new delhi.
2. there is a backlog for family sponsorship specially in those kind of case. if you check the cic website under application timeline, they are still processing applications received in 2003. so that means, it´a s long wait and a lot of patience needed. here´s the link for your info. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times/process-in.html
3. once your sister has been approved to sponsor, the file is sent over to new delhi and it will take several months/years longer. and based on the cic website, at least another 2-2 years of wait again. here´s the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times-int/08-fc-parents.html

I sponserd my parents from Pakistan .
From application to Missisauga till there arival to Canada took them 3 years. it needs pataints

and how many months it took in islamabad?
and which papers and certificates were asked by islamabad embassy from ur parents??
