Subject: What if I can not enter Canada by the due date? |

We are applying a pouse sponsorship from outside of Canada. I was just wondering if there is any exception for the date of landing Canada.
I heard that the landing due date is the day you had a medical check.(I believe the medical check expires in one year)
Anyway, I have just finished and if that´s correct I still have one year to the landing due date.
And, if I got pregnant next one year, I will probably would like to deliver the baby in my country because, to recieve OHIP, there is 3 months waiting period...
If I deliver in Canada, my delivery won´t be covered...
It sounds little complidated but does anyone know if there is any exception for landing Canada???

(in reply to: What if I can not enter Canada by the due date?) Why not deliver the baby in your country and continue to live there and make a life? On the other hand, what if you bring about 25,000 dollars when you arrive here in that way you mae sure any incidental expenses due to delivery are covered? Once your baby is born in Canada, at least the baby doesn´t have to go round for the rest of life telling people about his/her iimigration to Canada.

(in reply to: What if I can not enter Canada by the due date?) Better way is to buy private health issurance for the first 3 months that only costs less than CND $200 and it will cover all the delivery expense. This way will make your case simplified.

Which health issurance company is that?
I have been searching but can not find one with coverage for delivery. Greatly appreciate if you can help me.
