Subject: Got an update from my MP
It seems like we won´t be lucky anytime soon. The impression I get is it won´t be till early next year.

No. I sent them lots of pictures, insurance policies etc. They say they have to examine them to make sure that they are legitimate.

I also changed my name for god´s sake. :-(

SW - Please post your timeline, and what did your MP say exactly?

Well I had my AOR in July 2004, And finished my medicals in March 2005. I contacted my MP, he said wait untill early next year. Meaning 8-10 months after medicals to hear again from CIC.
I dont know if thats a general answer for all In Canada applicants, or just my case.

Sent in applicaton in December of 2004. Got the letter saying I am eligible to sponsor etc., on January 6, 2005. They started processing on the 7th of January.

My MP´s office said today that the medical will expire in September and that my husband has to do medical again. He also has to do an interview.

They did not give us a bring forward date and they did not tell us whether the background check has been done.

Then you have to put in an extra couple of months for when they just sit on their behinds and do nothing.

Well , I have a delay on mine still because the CPC still waiting for my police record from Canada. (because I lived there for over a year).

My medicals are going to expire in october and the CPC says that my police record might be arriving by July 17th.

If it hasn?t arrive on time , they won?t make a decision on my application soon so I have to undergo my medicals again.

I have been sponsored for my wife as well but she lives with me in my home country.

Best wishes!
