| Subject: Concerns on Passport Request |

Hi everyone,
I am US citizen and my husband is Iranian citizen. We had our medicals done and sent by doctor´s office on March 15, 2005 and the rest of requested docs sent on April 26 2005.
After 7weeks of this date, we received another request to fill out the background check (like our social activitites or if we have been engaged in any political party and the updated dates of the military services) for both of us. We sent them the very next day, and we haven´t heard any thing since then.
Is this the stage of the process that Canadian Immigration run the background check for all the countries we lived more than 6months or this process has been completed before medicals? My husband and I have lived in 3 different countries, before we got married, does that mean that this process will take longer than anticipated time?
I have seen on this forum that many people have the same timeline and they have had their passport sent to Buffalo, and we haven´t yet? Is something that I should start to be concerned or it´s reasonable delay?

It is a reasonable delay......they have to check everything.It all depends on which countries they were. If your husband had military service that will take longer too.
Because your husband is Iranian, they will scrutinize everything. It is just the way they are.
Be patient.
All will be OK
