My fiancee is in the last stage of her PR. i.e She has sent in her medicals. We delayed our mariage because it would delay her PR process.

Should we wait for some time after she gets her PR or is it ok to marry soon after she lands in Canada ?

We are based in US.

I would wait until she lands. just presents less chance of complications. the next day is a good plan :)

Yes, but will CIC question a marriage a month after she lands.

What´s the timeline for PR under spousal category from Buffalo. They say 18 months but I have heard that it´s faster than that

Dear Sharon,

My fiancee got a receipt in mail confirming that her medicals were recieved. But, eclient still says that they started processing her app in nov.

If you can prove your relationship up to the marriage, I don´t think marrying her the day after landing would be a problem. On a second thought, I´m just curious if you can tell the immigration officer when you land that you have a fiancee and you intend to marry her after you land. Because there is no fiancee class anymore, it might work out- you didn´t hide anything but do your own research cause I might be grossly wrong.

I´m looking to do this process too, but I have a work permit presently.

I was traveling with my boyfriend from SF to Vancouver just last month. They asked if we were intending to get married and from the sound of the mans voice he was really encouraging us to do just that. He basically was pushing to have us take those steps. I don´t think things would change but do it after your spouse lands not to complicate anything..
