Thats surprising isabella., why does your MEDDEC shows 0. I thought it should be 1, since your medicals results shows M01. Looks like both your security and background check is not complete but initiated sometimes in febrauary.By the way do you have any new BFD date in your caips..
Iam also eager to know whether you paid 5 $ to get your CAIPS or you did not send any money ( becos acccording to privacy act i heard its free for incanada applicants).
I will be ordering my CAIPS this month end or after the first week of august.

By the way what does the number for SDEC (security decision ) and CRIMDEC ( criminal decision) shows in your CAIPS.

I haven´t requested a CAIPS so far.
I did my medicals on May 17th but it reached Ottawa on June 25th around. Could anybody advise me when will be the right time to order CAIPS in my case? Is there any limit for CAIPS?

It will be worth to wait for 3-4 months after your medicals and then order caips as you would know a clear picture of your case then.

Same things for us (husband an me): even MO1 for both, but meddec 0. And medicals expires in 1.5 months (AOR- Nov. 2003).
And about the CAIPS, I think I wrote it before: they work very precisely: my husband (the principal applicant) sent the request and personal cheque for $5, but could not include his renewed study permit (it did not come back from Vegreville). The person called us home to clarify it and get a provement that we are in Canada. :) Said, that she must consult with her supervisor. In two weeks another person called and said that there is no changes in our papers since the last time we ordered the CAIPS (~1.5 months) and asked do we want to get it print out anyway or prefer to wait a while. We asked to send it in a month (it was 2 weeks ago). And only today they cashed a cheque. :))
I wish CIC would work so perfectly.
One month for me and I´ll get crazy, :)

About the medicine, I don´t think it will be accepted until background check is done, even though it´s a "perfect health". But right now i start to think, that it can take forever. :)

Wow so many responses.
BOSS: Even after perfect medicals MEDDEC will show 0, it gets to 1 only when BDEC, SEC and CRIM are over.
MOUNTAINS: to see if medicals are ok M01, ask for caips 2 months after medical tests. It will also show when BDEC etc are started.
After 6-8 months from medicals ask caips again to know whats the story with BDEC and SEC.
Once everything get "1" MEDDEC will change to "1". thats when PPR is issued.
I ordered caips from caips.ca. $40/- but no headache. Got it in a month.
my new BFD: FEB 2006!
HELL: I hope you guys get PPR soon. I would suggest going for another caips before your medical expires. If everything in BDEC, SEC and CRIM are 1, then fax and mail CIC buffalo with a copy of CAIPS. They should finalise your case before a second medical.

Issabella: Thank you very much for your support. Your suggestion are really valuable. We´ll get CAIPS soon, I let you know, and will order another one in the middle of August.
Actually, BDEs change quite ofter, the CAIPs we got at in May showed BDE: Apr. 2006, CAIPS in June showed BDE: Sept. 2005 (but anyway, it´s later than the expiration date for our medicals).
