im a mexican citizen, i completed my high school stidies in california , san diego to be exact, after that i got accepted into fresno state university in california as well, i didnt finish my studies there ,i barely started them. but now this is the tricky part , and basically the whole point of this posting , can i study in canada if i am in mexico at present and do not have much of a financial support? , maybe with a student visa i could be paying my tuition fees by working on campus. is this an option?. i want to go into a small community college that i have talked about with my girlfriend , who is candian and is in canada right now, BC actually. what can i do to make this all happen? i defenitly have got to find a way to study in canada. if anyone has relevant information it would be of great help. thanx.

All i know is if you are from mexico , then you will be covered under NAFTA, so you do not have to get a visa to enter canada. Hope it helps.

you are still going to have to prove how you will support yourself as a student. NAFTA is irrelevant. There is an financial criteria that you will have to comply with. working on campus will never be enough to cover your tuition and expenses.

If you could not succeed in the US, you are doomed in Canada. What do you think, we are sittin here with bags of money to feed the Mexicans? And no, you can´t sell coke and support yourself either. Just stay where you are... if you can´t take the heat there, just move further South...
