Hello found this forum this week, wish had seen it a month ago good
information.

Recently married in China (a friend introduced me to her friend in China and we hit it off)
submitted the spousal forms to Mississauga first week of July, and got the sponsership aproval letter this week with file number, it said they were forwarding her application to Hong Kong Visa center.

Is there anything else we should be prepared for? ( I know its a broad question) other than the wait time for processing.
All application fees were paid and her medical was done in June and submitted with application.
The only thing I can think of is a new passport since it expires next Aug.

Anyone here have gone through this in China recently?what were your wait times?

Thanks

Her passport expires in August??
That will slow things down a little....you should have renewed it before applying. Oh well, what´s done is done.

I did not go through China but if your application is in order and everything is done upfront, it should go fast.

I wish you luck
