Subject: File transfered from USA to New Delhi
I had applied for Canadian Immigration in September 2001 from Buffalo, NY. Due to unavoidable reasons I had to return to India in August 2003. Unfortunetly, just after my landing in India, the Canadian Consulate had scheduled my interview for 12 Jan,04. I could not attend the interview for want of USA visit visa. In mean time, the ecase status was updated as, "A DECISION IS MADE IN YOUR CASE, WE WILL BE SENDING YOU A COMMUNICATION IN THIS REGARD" again after few weeks they have updated it as "WE HAVE STARTED REPROCESSING YOUR FILE FROM MARCH 2004". I was told by my representative in Canada that the file is under transfer to New Delhi. Can, anyone advise me like how long is the process in Delhi for these kind of cases. And last to tell, I am holding onto undergo my medicals also.

Am I not a unlucky ...

Advance thanks for all the replies.

Hi,

I have some questions -

1) Did you make any request for the file transfer to New Delhi?
2) Did you receive any official letter from CIC for file transfer?

Dear Sanrup,

Thanks for your immediate response.

1. Yes, I had requested them to waive the interview clause due to my absence in USA, in case, if it is not possible, I requested them to transfer the file to New Delhi.

2. As such I haven´t seen any communication from them. My attorney Mr. Berto Volpentesta intimated that the file is under transfer.

Well now, I am in total darkness about file status. Cause, it has been very long they have updated eclient status on my case.

Whats your opinion? Do you think it has become murky! Give me little confidence friend.

Thanks a lot once again.

Chary

Hi,

Considering the e-client message, your file must have trasferred. But, you must receive an official letter of file transfer.

You should mail a letter both to ND and Buffalo for asking the status of your file.
