So people whats the latest, nothing moving I guess. Even people with eclient changed 3 months back to medical received are waiting for PPR.

Any new updates or timelines from youll and other school buddy´s.

A friend of mine got eclient changed to medical received last month.
She applied June 2004, but no sign of passport request.

Like her, I have observed the same for few others too. Even after Medicals Recieved there is no assurance that one gets PPR.

Another PHD buddy of mine, applied May 2004, AOR June 2004 waiting for PPR.

On immigration.ca ..... this one guy shuresh had to wait quite a long while for PPR..after doing medicals.

Sorry if I am being a bit negative, but its the truth. Atleast with the truth one is prepared for the worse. Waiting and hoping is all we can do.

Good Luck

Hi there, well said Issabella.

I did my medicals in May and it reached in the third week of June ´05. I don´t know whether it is okay or not. But I haven´t heard anything back from Ottawa (or Buffalo) about receipt of medicals.

I don´t think I will get passport request for now because not even a single case of In-Canada applicants has got passport request in 3 months from getting medicals request. (Quebec immigration excluded coz they get in 4-6 months from applying to Federal)

Not that I know of any In-Canada Federal applicants has got PP request in 3 months. So probability is zero chances of getting the request so soon. It is completely unfair for the In-Canada applicants because, well, do I have to tell the reason?

My conclusion is for all In-Canada applicants, background+security check is a must, whatever, the delay is compulsory.

As I have completed my Studies in Canada, I thought placing the degree completion will help, but there are people who have already tried that out but unsuccessful in speeding-up the process.

It is extremely unpredictable as to what they are asking for. As we are in Canada they have an easy source of knowing about our background and enquiring about our background. I conclude by telling it is completely unfair. Only happiness is, I have people sharing my sadness. My situation is even more difficult, I deposited my thesis thinking I would get immigration in 3 months, then come to this forum, know the truth and I am in dire strait. Only thing that I am doing is searching for a job desperately. Hope I atleast succeed in that.

Hope I am not disappointing anybody, I can advise you to hope for the best.

Issabella:
I thought you are on work permit.
If you don´t mind, when did you friend do her medicals and it would be better for me if you can tell when her medicals reached Ottawa. Atleast I can be sure of whether my medicals have been checked.

Issabella:

I think I made the question long and confusing,
"when did your friend´s medicals reach Ottawa and when it changed in E-client?" Hope I am not bothering you much. Thanks.

I hear you BOSS, a change of eclient status for InCanada Student doesnt say much. Go looking in the students Canada thread, "gradstudent" he is waiting for almost 2 months now after eclient changed.

hope everyone in Canada waiting after medicals get PPR as soon as possible.

To mountains: dont get nervous and try to contact ottawwa by fax and mail etc. The best is CAIPS, its officially conclusive, u will exactly know even if your medicals are OK. And also throws light on BFD dates and other clearances.

Yesterday had a committee meeting, tired.
On Sept. 10th our (husband´s and my) medicals expire (MO1 for both in CAIPS, but was not processed).
before Sept. 18th we have to pay 4300$ (tuitions and medical+dental insurance).
CAIPS must come soon, but no hope that something will be different than before, frustrating.....
