Hello,
I was looking at average time for finalizing case for spouse PR application for Asian countries and found anomaly for Singapore post.
It seems CIC post located at bigger countries takes the minimum amount of time !!! For example Delhi and Beijing office takes maximum 3-4 months. On the other hand smallest contries like Singapore and Hong Kong takes the highest amount of time which is equivalent to minimum time for SW class application.
Is it the case of number of staffs?? Or something else?
My application is hanging around Singapore office since 1.5 months to finalize spouse PR. The elcient says that application process begins since June 21. How long should I wait to get some news???

(in reply to: curious to know about variable timeline!!) Hi HS,
We applied spousal PR in Jan 2005. We didnt get any AOR or anything until April when my wife was asked to produce a Police certificate which took 2 months for us to get. About a month after we sent it in (June), we got the PP request July 26.
Its all about expectations I guess. I was expecting 9-12 months and was surprised that it was so quick. Hang in there.
