My question might sound funny but it is regarding helping somebody.

One of my friend wants to apply for Canadian immigration/come to Canada for work. He has done 10 years of school and 3 years diploma course. He works as an overall electrician. He is a specialist in refrigerator service/troubleshooting.

He is such an intelligent guy that I sometimes feel I must help him with something because he is not getting paid well in the place where he is working. I pity him actually because he is so poor though knowledgewise he is really good.

Is there somebody who can advise me what I can do for my friend to get him to Canada on immigration/work?

Thanks. Appreciate your help.

And after the HRDC is approved , he will be able to apply for a work permit in Canada. (He has to do it from his home country though).
Once he gets the work visa and after landing in Canada , he can start working and start saving some money and if he wants , he may apply for his PR.

depend on where does your friend live, your local visa office might have faster processing speed than Buffalo,
apply for Federal Skilled Worker.

HRDC is harder, you have to find a employer to sponsor you, have to show HRDC that they desperately search for qualified employee, however, just couldn´t find them, that´s why they need hire foreign citizen.
It took forever because of red tape.
however, if you do have connection in Canada, and you are willing to wait, go ahead.

same thing as Skilled worker, you have to wait forever either
