Hi.
I sent my PR application to Buffalo in June 2004. I received my AOR on July 5th, 2004 but i haven´t heard anything back ever since. I browsed this forum and it looks like most people heard back within 7-9 months after they received their AOR. I know that Buffalo doesn´t want people to bug them about PR application, but i´m quite worried.
My first question:
1. does 13 months is a unusual long time?
2. Should i try to contact them about my application. If yes, how? Fax or mail?

You should definately send a fax or letter to Buffalo to inquire about the status of your application.

Did you change the address after your applied??? In that case the communication from CIC would go to your old address.
IF not, then you can fax buffalo about the status or get your CAIPS to know why things are taking so long..

My mailing address hasn´t changed although i moved from BC to Ontario - i use my sister´s address in US because I move a lot. I sent them a fax today inquiring about my application. I was a bit uneasy sending that fax as I know they don´t like inquiries too much. Hopefully i´ll hear from them soon. By the way what does CAIPS or IA mean?
