Subject: Current job is different from past jobs???
  Hi,

Do you think it will matter if my present job is way different from my past jobs....I mean if I met the maximum pointS for my experience for my past years....will it still matter if I have a different job now? I will be interviewed in September and I am just wondering. Has anyone out there with the same case?

thanks

I am not the expert here on this subject but from where I am sitting... demonstrating flexibility in employment would suggest that you are prepared to adapt and do what ever is necessary to be self-sufficient. I consider it to be in your favour!

Hi
I applied as electronic technician, now I am self employed, dealing with furniture, I submitted new forms when they asked me to do, I updated my info and told them that I am now self employed, I submitted all possible supporting documents as trade register, invoices from different suppliers, I got my interview waived, I submitted my medicals and still waiting for my PP.
Good Luck

Joe,

If you meet 67 Points its not mean 100% guaranteed approval. Moreover, Visa Officers may refuse such applicants if they feel that they are not suitable and will not successfully establish themselves in Canada(despite achieving the required pass mark).
Make sure you have to represent your whole case, do not focus only on points.
Good Luck!
