| Subject: Marriage in Quebec Vs. Ontario?? |

I am wondering if anyone from Ontario has married in Quebec. I am getting married soon and really don´t want to wait the 6 months in Ontario to get the actual marriage certificate. My fiance and I are thinking about eloping to Quebec because they say you can get it within 1 month. Apparently you wait 10 days to apply for the certificate after you´re married, then you should received the certificate within 20 working days. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it really that much quicker?
Background: We are living in Ontario (She is Canadian and I am American), I am going to apply for PR as soon as our marriage certicate is obtained and background checks are received.
