I am currently under medication for PTB. One of the drugs the DMP has prescribed is Ethambutol (Odetol). Later, it was found out that I cannot tolerate such drug. Just to make sure that i have not developed side effects (optic neuritis)during the period of taking that drug, i was referred to an eye specialist. Fortunately the eye specialist assured me that i have not developed such side effect. What bothers me is that, the eye specialist found out that I was color blind (red/green) and the drug has nothing to do with it. Will my application for a canadian visa be denied because I am color blind? I know that I´ll get well soon from TB.

Colour blindness is NO reason to be refused.

But it could come in your way of getting good employment. Depends on what kind of job you´ll be looking for after landing.
Most jobs in production units or factories consider this as a serious condition

Thanks guys. I appreciate it a lot. Yes, I was told that i wont be able to get jobs like an anti-bomb specialist, pilot or whatever jobs requiring sharp details for color. Anyway, the important thing to me is to get a canadian visa and hopefully start something better there. I am an IT Specialist by the way, so i guess it doesn´t fall under such condition. have a nice day.
