Hey friends,
Wanted to update the progress wrt my application:
The landing fee draft was encashed y´day(aug 8).Medicals reached Canada on July 25.Second FBI report sent today.
My timelines:
AOR : Mar 04
IA : Nov 04 - file transfered to NYC
Mar 05 - IELTS - submitted June 05
June 26 - Landing fee, medicals, FBI etc to be submitted.
Completed everything today(ie the FBI report).
BTW, to get the FBI report quickly I called the FBI number and the send the report in 4 days !!! So , it helps & thansk to all of you in this forum.
So based on what you´ve read...any guesses/advice as to when I can expect something. Or shall I say what can I expect now and how soon?

Hi Jack,
Good to hear abt ur case. Can you please give the Phone # where we can call as I have sent my card 5 weeks back and yet to recieve my report.

Your Case Update (in reply to: Case update - FYI)
Hi jackofallo,
You now have to wait for the consulate to send you a letter asking you to send your passport for the final visa and Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) letter. You will carry the COPR and the visa (pasted on your passport) to any port of entry. This process usually takes about a month or two from the time you have submitted all your documents and provided you are all clean on your medical as well as the Police Reports.

Please tell me whether the CIC asked you to send a second FBI report. Or did you send it second time even without them asking you. I am very interested to know this.

Hi Hema,
The CIC NYC asked for it for the second time.The first FBI report I had submitted at the time of applying in Feb 04.
What is your time line?

How did you send your FBI request?... did you use an express shipment or registered mail? I tried calling the FBI in fact today to ask if they could speed up my request, but said they could do nothing if I didn´t have a tracking number (I sent it by regular mail)

Yes I did send it by registered post with a tracking number.But I never had to use it, the lady just asked for my last name and thats it.
