Subject: who is Departure Bay?
  just feel interesting

is he a teenage or what?
I don´t believe such young guy can apply PR.

Why his life seems so fun in Canada? is that true?
Since none of my immigrant friends told me those experience in Canada, I hardly believe what departure bay said was true.
Like pick up 16 years old girls who he didn´t even know in the concert and drove home, don´t lock car and house. It just sounds unreasonable at all!
I have never been to Canada, but lots of my friends did complain a lot, tough life, hard to find a job. Why departure bay only talks about good things in Canada? are you an immigrantion agent or just try to let people believe Canada is what you described? Maybe you live in a terrible life, just dream those things happened, didn´t you?

Who is Avril Lavigne? Why you alawys mention about this name?

Well you said it yourself: you have NEVER been in Canada. Your friends are complaining obviously because it is hard for them. This doesn´t mean there aren´t others who may have assimilated better and having a ball inspite of their being foreign. The lady (Avril) is a singer.

Canada is great , at least where I used to live , you don?t need to lock your house or your car.

Before start saying things like !"unreasonable " or "Maybe you live in a terrible life, just dream those things happened"

You should investigate things for your self.

Wrong forum buddy to talk in a bad way about the GREAT WHITE NORTH!

I have been canada for 4 years and I really love it. Avril Lavigne is a singer. She is from Canada. As you know, She´s really cute. If you´ve never been in canada. you will never know what´s look like to live. Have anyone told you how spicy hot sauce? if you never try that and how do you feel it?

DB is you and lives in a small community. Yes, he is a bit of a dreamer, but around here... we could use more dreamers. I am sure he does not lock his car - it is a beater... but you know something... knowing his community I am sure his property would be perfectly safe.

You know why DB is so happy? Because he only looks at the good side of stuff. He is not expecting miracles from Canada, he is not expecting to be come rich. He is discovering a new world - one young smiling face at a time.

Happiness is in how you look at things. We could take some lessons.

sorry,I really wanna know which one is true.
my friend live in Toronto, what I was told was on long weekend, people shoot each other at night. Even teenage got shoot guns!People do have to lock their property.I was confused.

I still couldn´t believe all he said is true, not until I arrive in Canada and see it by myself.

first... people shoot each other at night- 1 person shot 1 person on 1 night in Toronto. that might happen 10 times a year. if you are stealing drugs or selling drugs... you run the risk of getting shot. Guns are illegal in Canada. 99.9% of the population has never held a gun.

EVERY teenager got shot guns - do you really believe that?

Everybody have to lock their property - in Toronto, yes. In Nanaimo... no.

No one is forcing anyone to move here !

This place is great if you have at least some brain and
obey the law you will do just fine.

Unemplyment rate is 6,8% and that is NOTHING ! comparing to place where i came from ( 44% of unimployment rate)

And you are telling me that it is hard ti find a job here?

I´m in Toronto for only 2 weeks and there have been 3 shootings in the GTA area. It seems like getting a good job needs networking and it doesn´t depend on your talent, education or skills. Torontonians tell me it´s so much better than USA and they choose to live here inspite of opportunities to live in US, but it´s hard to believe.

So many conveniences that we take for granted in US is not here in Canada´s biggest city. All I can say is if you are immigrating from India or China you´ll love it here in Toronto. You´ll even wonder if you ever left your country at all....
