Subject: Looking for modest accommodation
I am trying to locate a modest accommodation (hotel or motel) in the Vancouver region where I can lodge for a couple of days before moving to Ontario. I plan to land in Vancouver. Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

depend on where do you live, please phone 1-800 Hello BC.
they can mail you an B.C approved accomendation guide, with all price, information, contact number.

same as all of you here, that´a nice guide, better to have it if you travel a lot.

Thanks very much Daparture Bay. The rates are unbelievable. Prior to your response, I was only getting rates in excess of $70 from the net. This site is truly great.

be very careful in the area DB sends you. You will meet the very worst part of Vancouver.

try www.hotels.ca. I think one of our other posters found something for around $80. You are coming in high season.

if you are flying and only need to go downtown for SIN. try looking for hotel in Richmond. The airport is in this area and the bus service to downtown is not bad. $25 for a taxi.

You might try hotwire.com or expedia.com or some other such site, too. We just landed a schmanzy hotel in TO for $39 a night using hotwire!

another way of course drop off in visitor information centre, if you have" B.C accomendation guide", everything is way easy.

50---70 dollars are so easy to find.

Come on, you go to Vancouver, you have to see some view like that.

You know what? Hasting area, 10:00morning and 1:00 morning is totally different.you have to check it out. I hang out in Hasting by myself at 2:00am, a little bid scare, but still fine, nobody shot me at least.

Try to talk to those homeless people, you gotta know a lot of stories you have never known. (don´t do this unless you are as crazy as I am)

Saw so many good looking girls are homeless, or wiping car windows on the street, feel so bad, they are no more than 20 years old!!!!!!!!!!

Go with the easiest solution: carry a large load of loot on ya. Solves every prob, every time.
