  I received AOR dated 24 Feb, 2005.
I am expecting I.A for the month of Aug or Sept. I have 69 points assuming I would get 16 for the proficiency in English language. I did my 4 years college from U.S and I haven been in U.S for 8+ years and right now working for an American company. I haven´t taken IELTS assuming I won´t need it.

So how likely it is for them to ask me to take IELTS? Even if they grant me 14 points on that section I should be ok. I have done fairly good in English language section in my 4 years college in School.

If I will have to take IELTS please advice me on when should I take it? Should I go a head and do the registration now of wait for I.A?

Thank you

Hi....did you submit a detailed explanation of your language skills? This is required in place of an IELTS result. Judging from what you said, there might be a big chance they won´t request IELTS from you. I´d say, wait for your IA....goodluck

I did submit the letter detailing how have I been using English in my day to day activitiles as well as in my school and in my work place. Also I submitted a copy of my TOEFL which I took to get admission in U.S school; however they don´t consider TOEFL as acceptable document but is should give ´em so idea atleast to know how my english is. Also my school certificates and transcripts from U.S college should satisfy them in that regard.

Thank you for your response. Lets hope for the best.

I suggest you appear in IELTS. If they ask you to provide IELTS score in future they will give you a limited time period to provide the score. So you will have just one shot at the exam.

As your score is on the borderline if you dont get the max points for english your application may get rejected. If you appear now and you dont get the required score you will still have the option to reappear later. But in the end its your choice.
