I was in USA for the last 4 years as an international student. I got back and interested to apply for Canadian Immigration. So far i know i need to get US-police clearance report since i was in USA for more than six months. My question is, I´m already in my country and in my country local police station does not do fingerprinting for immigration purpose. Is there any other alternative for me?

you can go to any local fingerprinting agency and get the form or write to FBI (do not remember the address now) with $18 fee. Better find a local agency and get the finger print done and mail it to FBI to get the report

i am too aplying for my canadian immigration can anyone please suggest a local private fingerprinting agency in maryland usa. is there any website where we can get that information. do we have to get the form first from fbi or we can just go to a local police station and get fingerprinting done please advise asap

is the form fd-961 the form for fingerprinting i went to fbi website and found only this form for fingerprinting can anyone advise is this the right form to use for fingerprinting to obtain police clearance for canadian immigration

Some police stations accept and don´t accept fingerprinting in Montgomery county, Maryland. I got mine done at Wheaton police station at Georgia Avenue and Randolph Road last week. Try calling different police stations in your county and see which one will accept fingerprinting for you. If you have no luck, then go to Maryland state office at 6775 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown Plaza, 2nd floor, suite 200, Pikesville, Md 21208 for fingerprinting. It is inside Baltimore 695 beltway. The cost there is $23.00 for fingerprinting and police check. It is open from 8 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday. This is where you can get local police clearance letter (criminal background check). I am also applying for Canadian Immigration but it look like I only need FBI check. Good luck.
