Bill,

Sorry to hear about your rejection. It is very clearly because of insufficient points(62, you need 67).

You may apply again if you take IELTS again and score a perfect 16 there.

Also, if you wait a few more years till you get full 21 points for Experience...

but much will depend on language in your case.

Other options:

1)get a masters degree.
2)have your spouse take up some higher studies
3)learn french and score some points there. Even 2-4 points there would help a lot
4)have more experience

Man you are fine don`t worry just try to retake IELTS but be ready try to get 14 points : it`s better than waiting for 2 years to get higher points or asking your spouse to have higher degree for higher adaptability points. Please share your timeline with us ..when did you apply? did you get AOR ..etc

you will need a perfect 16 in IELTS.
you get 62 if you score 10, since you can either get 14 or 16 (15 is not possible), you will need full 16 points

I am sorry to hear this. I don´t know if appeal is possible in your case. But definitely you can apply again, even immediately...BUT you have to make sure that you can improve your score. IELTS is one way, plus your experience I believe can be improved if you will choose to wait for a year or two before re-applying. Just always remember that when God closed a door...He will open hundreds of windows. Have faith. Goodluck.

Well said ano and Bill,

Last week I went to take IELTS test and met a few persons there who have already moved to Canada as PRs.
I met 2-3 couples there, in all cases wife was taking IELTS exam for nursing jobs. Husbands were doing very well in home country. applied for PR, got it since they both had masters degrees, age, expereince and in some cases relatives in Canada. Now finding it extremely difficult to adjust and find a job here. forcing their wives who just know some broken English to try for nursing jobs (being in demand) and taking 2-3 attempts at IELTS. Every 2 minutes, they would brag about how well they were doing back home...
Some of them even had an option of going back and take their old jobs back, but would not do so for the fear of being laughed at.

Well, as Joe said, God opens many windows if he closes one door, there must be some good in your app being rejected and good to see you taking it sportingly.

Good luck
