I am trying to obtain a temp. work permit. I know that the Canadian gov´t. says that I need proof of funds of $10,000 to fulfill the requirements. I don´t have the funds but am going to be living with my fiance. If I have the money wired to my account, will it matter how long the funds show that they have been there? I will only be able to have it wired for the amount of time to get the permit approved. Do I even need the funds to be there if the job offer is there and it only a temporary?

Thanks for your quick response. Makes me feel a little more at ease! But...is there a web site that you read about this information? There are so many sites that have conflicting information in regards to this topic.

(in reply to: Proof of Funds) no conflicting information. there is a distinct difference between a work permit and skilled worker immigration. make sure you are looking in the right category.

proof of funds (in reply to: Proof of Funds) In an orientation I´ve attended re immigration to Canada, the lecturer said that in proof of funds amounting to CAD10,000 could be in form of cash and/or property (e.g. real properties)... say, half could be cash and half could be properties
