For your information, here is my timeline for sponsoring my wife.
Application received 22 July
Application opened 23 August
Sponsorship approved 23 August
Letter sent 24 August
Letter received 27 August
It is a REAL genuine marriage.
I sent my marriage certificate, more than 20 photos of my marriage, around 30 photos of our outings during different seasons, letters from friends certifying that our relation was real, photos of my in-laws and of my family with my wife, proof that we were living together, etc.
Needless to say that we are very happy. We hope to be together for Christmas. Good luck to all of you.

you must change your name from Worried Husband to Happy Husband. I can hear the joy in your voice. Congratulations! It is nice to know that there are good people at Immigration Canada and if you are truthful...everything will work out. It gives me great hope for my own situation.

You are right Sharon. I am happy, but... as she is not already in Canada, I cannot be 100% happy. But, anyway, everything is going well so far. I hope everything will be fine for you soon. Keep us inform.

hello evryone hoe are you,its the first time im on this forum,i need somehelp on questions that i have that are breaking my head.i met my boyfriend two years ago but on the internet,,we became close and we exchanged phone numbers,and he asked me to marry him...i went to wales and we got married,it was so beautiful,,now im back in canada,and i was wondering if i can have problems sponsoring my husband because it was an internet relationship,,im really worried and scared,,please if anyone can help me id appreciate so much...im a canadian citizen born here and raised here,and my husband is lebanese residing in the uk,he s a dentist there...ty i spent two months in wales with him thank you ...god bless you all and i wish you luck
