you did not get many clear answers
for a family of 3, allow yourself $3,000 a month to live modestly. Average Canadian household income before tax is about $52,000. Of course you will have set up costs. To make yourself breath easy, I would nest egg 6 months. It is hard enough to get settled and employed without that huge anxiety of cashflow. Also remember your US dollar is worth about $1.25 Canadian.

(in reply to: to Big B) Thanks Sharon,
That´s the kind of answer I was looking for. I can now plan very clearly and know how much time I´ll have to find a good job beofore I run out of my savings...
Thanks again

(in reply to: to Big B) DB,
Thanks for your reply as well. But I don´t plan to live life King size like you do.
No booze(i don´t drink), No chicks(am married)
So I think 3000(2500 USD) should be enough as Sharon said..
Thanks anyway !
