Subject: Nursing..
  hello all.,
Just a quick question to all of the folks. One of my cousin is finishing nursing from asian country and wanted to know what exams she has to clear in ontario to practice as registered nurse. Is it IELTS or TOEFL. And how long does this whole process from takes from credential evaluation to claer the exams,if she is an immigrant.
Thanks.

prepare another two years, funny thing is I have friend can´t even transfer RN from ON to B.C, you can imagine how hard is that. Medical regulation is control by provincial not federal.

I think she has to pass something way harder than IELTS or TOELF.

But I can tell you, nursing is a good occupation, helping people, with good benefit and paid.

I wanna be a Gaylord Folker too, however, it´s not such easy to meet the folker

About registration in Canada (in reply to: Nursing..)
Every province has its´ registration test. Your friend must sit that test and pass it. But before that, your friend´s educational background should be evaluated by the nursing council here. If she/he pass the evaluation, they will grant she/he chance to sit the test. Still, since your firend´s nursing education was not in English(I guess. Please do excuse me if I am wrong), which means she/he need take IELTs. You can find these information from nursing council website. Good Luck!
