Subject: Applied in US, now leaving for China
  Hello,

I and my wife applied the canada immigration as a skill worker to Buffalo office three months ago. They have sent my mail indicating receiving and gave me a case number.

Now I and wife may have to leave the US for China. We don´t want to give up the application though.

Will our application be dropped ?

What best can we do?

Thanks in Advance !

Do not worry. (in reply to: Applied in US, now leaving for China)
Hello!
I´m in exactly the same situation. I´ve applied in USA, now I´m in Canada but I have to leave to Russia pretty soon. There are two possible ways your case might go now: first, Buffalo consulate decides to waive your interview, then they will send you medical forms and as soon as you pass medcomissian, you will just have to fly back to Buffalo (or any consulate in USA) to get your permanent residency cards. Second, interview will berequired-in this case you will have to fly to the consulate for your interview from China.
In any case, do not give up-immigration is a very tough process and it is worth your while.
Good luck.
