Subject: Income requirement for Quebec. |

Hello everyone:
Just got an information saying that sponsors who want to sponsor their spouse to settle in Quebec need to meet the income requirement. I know that my annual salary in Taiwan does not meet the condition, but i was wondering if personal savings would from both of us would help? Would they consider that as a prrof that I can afford his expenses in Canada while the undertaking is still valid?
Thanks a lot,
Mina

(in reply to: Income requirement for Quebec.) Does your spouse have children? As far as I have been told just to sponsor your spouse you don´t have to meet the income requirements just show that you can support (savings/have a job). unless they have children, then you´d have to meet the low income cutoff.
That info i got from a lawyer in Quebec like 3 mo nths ago, and according to CIC, the rest of canada is the same.
hope this helps.
