My spouse´s passport has been requested by CHC-New Delhi. Does this mean that the application has been approved?
Also, how long does it usually take to receive the passport back?

well that really does not state anything on quota issue. there is clearly a targetted number for all categories including the spousal category. There are clearly more skilled class category applicant than spousal.

Sumit was convinced the spousal targets were full for 2005 and suggests everyone should give up. Next day he gets his passport request.
I should hope that there are more skilled class category than spousal!

WELL THEY ASK FOR PP REQUEST THAN RETURN BACK THE PASSPORT SAYING THAT THE QUOTA IS FULL AS HAPPENED WITH ME IN SW CASE. THEY ALSO SEND LETTER SAYING WHEN THEY WILL CONTACT ME.

141.4 please give us what embassy you talk about, what your timelines are, and what the letter says exactly.
given that this is such an important subject for people in this forum, please have the courage to give us a name so we can refer to a real person.
It is important for people to understand that CIC is not sending you away... they are telling you to wait a little bit longer. There is a big difference!
