CHC- New Delhi requested my spouse´s passport yesterday. Is there a chance that they might return it saying that the quota is full. If that is the case, why did they even ask for it??? I´m very confused and worried. This person Anonymous is getting on my nerves now.
Please, advise.

Sumit, be thankful that you at least have a passport request within three months. There are many many people on this forum whose lives are on hold waiting on immigration.
I really don´t understand your hysteria. Take a chill pill, if they return it saying the quota is full then it´s full, there is nothing anyone can do about it and no-one not even the immigration office in Toronto who can tell you if the quota is filled. Whose is to tell if when they sent you the passport request weeks ago that they did not have visas to issue, but because you have your mail sent to you in Canada, by the time you receive the letter they received other passports and issued all the available visas.
Whatever will happen, will happen, two days ago you jumped on the quota full hysteria band wagon and spread rumors that was picked up be other forums.
Just be patient and wait, they say patience is a virtue, get some.
You have gotten on my nerves. WE CANNOT ANSWER WHAT IF´S AND HYPOTHECAL QUESTION.
I bet a few weeks down the road you will be posting again saying got it.

Sorry Katrina if my impatient behavious is bothering u too much. But the reason I am asking all this is that if I am not getting visa this year, I would probably go to India, stay with my spouse and wait there.
Any advise???

Could be three weeks......maybe a month. BUT I have heard people getting it in a week.

Sorry but I did not go through New Delhi...my wife is Polish. We went through Warsaw and she was told to pick her visa up in person and NOT to send the passport to them.
She got her letter and went 2 days later.
Sorry I can´t be of more help.
It will all be OK...a month at the most! I have a feeling!
