When we receive our IA that means that they have awarded us points or there are still some occasions left where they can change the scores thay have awarded us already. I mean somebody at this forum said that his case is rejected because of 2 points, he got 65. When is the time when an applliacnt will be told about his scored points. IA or Interview?

as I understand it-IA. IA will look at all the hard facts. Language score is a hard facts. education and work experience is a hard facts. Interviews are used to clarify hard facts. that is why they recommend official language test because there is no dispute about the score. it is usually to the applicants advantage.

I believe.... IA means that CIC has done the review of the documents you sent...they have checked your application form if filled out properly, etc. during the review they may ask for other docs but when they send you an IA letter that means they found your documents acceptable and that they can proceed to the next step....with the IA also they will either waive your interview or inform you that an interview is necessary.

IA means Initial Assesment,so is the first step of many , they will determine if an interview is needed or waived and they give you further instructions as to take your medical exams as well as sending extra information. Hopefully they will speed up the process of Issuing IA´s cause it seems they haven´t done so all summer long, I am one of many still waiting for it . Good Luck buddy
