| Subject: Wrong name processed by CIC |

I have a quick question. I received my letter of sponsorship approval yesterday, meaning I can sponsor my husband, however, they got my first name and country of birth wrong, but everything else is correct, including my husband´s name, my last name and my address and so on. So when I called CIC to inquire, according to them I don´t exist. Has anyone experience this problem yet?

Send them a letter stating that your name is wrong and they should take care of that. Make sure that you include all they need to know in that letter.

Thanks for the advice, maybe i´ll do that. When I called them about this, they said it would take anywhere between 10 to 15 days to fix this problem. However, my husband´s application has already been sent for processing, and I don´t want anything delayed by their mistake. I find the CIC agents rude and not very helpful, I mean they even asked if I´m sure I was born in Canada. I´m surprised they even made such a mistake, considering I photocopied my birth certificate and included in my application. Anyhow, i´ll see what happens.
