HI Sharon:
I am seperated from my hubby too. But he has come to visited me several times without problems with visitor visa during our PR application processing period.
My invitation letter and his application letter stated clearly that we have applied for PR but he will definitely return to wait for our application approved and then come to join me. Actually he kept his promise. Now he will be quiting his job in out home country completely and our family will live together forever!

Being separated from your partner is the worst :( I really hope you´re able to get a visit in soon, it´s amazing how even a short week together can help keep it all in perspective.
