PP submitted: August´05
But I got a letter yesterday from Singapore, They have met Economic Class immigratin target for this 2005. They will send a letter to me in December 2005 for issuing Visa earlier 2006. They mention my visa expiry date is to be my Medical Certificate.
Their letter is clear but my question why they have done it? is it true, they will issue visa earlier 2006. What is earlier 2006. In this time i have already lost my current Job. Bcoz i took preparation to leave Bangladesh in October.
Please any one who faced this experience, share me.

This is the something i never heard before atleast. I dont know about others. so better wait for their feedback. In any case you have got the visa; earlier 2006 mean within first quareter of year 2006 you will get your visa. Enjoy Man !!!

I have read about this in another forum. Basically Canadian consulates all over the world have a quota for the visa´s that can be issued for skilled worker category. When the quota for a year(for a particular country) is finished applicants are asked to wait till next year.

Thnks, Steve and Kenny, for ur earlier response, Actually i am very much worried. Bcoz of my current position, When i submitted my Passport, they told me to get prepartion, even flight booking.
Now i get some hope about visa, My medical expiry date is April.
In this letter the request me to pick up my Passport from Local High Comm. Now i think, I have to wait for December for PP request.

I have a feeling that you will get your visa this year because the embassy has requested your passport already. I believe it is a standard procedure for them that by the time the application is ready for visa issuance and at the same time that the quota has been reached for the year, they send out the letter. i have heard the same scenario, the applicant received the same kind of letter but was later on was requested to submit the passport for visa issuance. hang in there! ;)

No, They didn´t. Actually when i went to submit my Passport, they told me to get preparation. Now i have understood my wrong. Form the early morning i looking for u,Sharo. Bcoz several time, I observed ur sugetion is very usefull. From the DiscoverVancouver forum, some one have infromed I will get visa early 2006 or may 3 years later.
Can u inform me, is it common. is there any probability to get visa. Please

Well, I don´t want to be the negative one here BUT if they told you, in a letter, that they have met the target and they will contact you in December 2005, I bet they will contact you in December 2005. YOU will be first on the list...or at least close to the top of the list for 2006. I bet you get the visa in January.
I really sucks but they do have quotas for skilled workers and they seem to have met this quota fast in Singapore.
