Subject: Problem while landing in Canada???
My spouse will be travelling to Canada on an immigrant visa. What kind of documentation would she need to bring along except from her passport, landing immigrant paper, visas etc. Does she need any proof of funds? Any other formality???

Can anyone share his/her experience at the immigration?

As far as I know she will need her passport, of course, and the passport has the visa in it. She must bring the letter(s) she received from the Embassy when she got the visa. She does not need to bring proof of funds. She should have GOODS TO FOLLOW list if she has any goods coming after she lands. AND she needs a list of things she is bringing in the country with her.

They will ask her a few questions...basically about the documents...making sure the info is correct. She will have to give them a Canadian address so they have a place to mail her PR card to.
It is quite a simple process...maybe 10 minutes at the most.My wife will be landing in 4 days. I can´t wait to see her!

Congratulations.
GOOD LUCK

Dont worry she dont need any proof except listed above.

They will teake her picture if needed and staple a letter on her passport. Take care of letter and she will be out with great respect within 10 to 15 minutes
