Subject: Temporary Accommodation
I am trying to locate a temporary accommodation (motel, house etc.), large enough to accommodate five people in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. Any info. will be highly appreciated.

I´m in Kitchener. I can call around to some motels for you. What is your budget? How many days/weeks are you needing?

Here, check this out:

http://www.travelhero.com/prophome.cfm/id/92323/hotels/reservations/index.html

They have 2-bedroom suites with double beds, private kitchen with microwave, fridge and sink, as well as a three-piece washroom. Rates from $75-$80 a night.

Their official website is here:

I would also suggest maybe some student housing around the University of Waterloo, but with school starting next week that might be harder to find right now.

FWChelle,
Thanks very much for the leads you have provided. I am budgeting S900 per month for this. I need the place for a month.

I have just located this site: http://info.wlu.ca/hotel/rates.htm and sent them a mail to enquire about availability of flats during the time we intend to land. The motel is quite close to Wilfrid Laurier University. Do you know the place?

That would probably be your best bet, if they have availability. And the price is reasonable. A very cheap, dirty motel will cost you at least $50 a night, and you´d pay $75-$100 a night for anything decent.

The Bricker Residence is right on campus, I believe. It will be clean and well maintained. It is a very high-traffic area though, as long as you don´t mind a steady stream of university students :-)

I also found this page of Bed and Breakfast type houses in the region. The rates are starting at $30 a night, but you may be able to work out a flat rate monthly deal. Look under both Kitchener and Waterloo:
