| Subject: How long doest take for Background checking |

Dear Sir/MAdam,
How are you all?. I have inquery about background checking.I have sent my police crtificate, medical examination and RPRF since two month. Then, I have askaed CIC about the status of my application, they said it is " background checking is currently outstanding".
So, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me the following:
- How long does background checking take?
-What is the next step?.

In my case the background check took about 5 months.

I was wondering if whay CIc does this background checking in the end of every thing. I mean they do alot of work on file and make applicant to sit and wait and spend lots of money on medicals, police clearances and when applicant is done with all the requirements, CIC tells you that now we are in background checking. Background check should be done after the initial assessment. Am I right?
