First the basics:
Applied: August 04
Place: Buffalo
Cat.: Skilled Worker
AOR: Oct. 04
IA: April 05, interview waived
Medicals and FBI certificates sent: May 05
I´ve requested CAIPS twice. The first time was before I received my IA. My first CAIPS notes says
BDEC 1 07-10-2004
and under SEC STATUS: 1
which seems to indicate I passed my security/background checks on October 10, 2004.
My second CAIPS notes, from this July only lists the date under BDEC and nothing under SEC STATUS. So I guess I haven´t passed my security check after all.
What to make of this? I surely don´t know, but I´m not praticually worried.
Still, it seems in my case at least the security check began long before the IA was done.
The second CAIPS had a bring forward date of July 18, 2005. But I have heard nothing yet.

i did my medicals to in may 2005.. interview at 2004 novemeber...didnot ask for caips note..
hoping to get the pr request in any time..

if you don´t get your pp request after 3 months you submitted your last step document, you are probably be chosen for background check. it would take few month to well over a year. some unlucky application would wait for 15 months or more. i am waiting for my pp request already for 8 months since i submitted my last documents. i hope it would come soon.
