Hi , I submitted my appl on Aug 8 2005 , I received my AOR on aUG 26TH 2005, Its pretty quick , dont know if my application with arranged employment made a diff as CIC did mention that it might take abt 10mths before I hear anything,

Lemme know if Iam just getting too carried away, cause I do know Iam in for a long wait..

I received my AOR 4 months after I applied for PR (with arranged employment) and I have to wait 9-10 months since the time of my AOR, so I will be waiting a total of 13-14 months before I receive my IA. I understand that AORs are being issued at the speed of light lately so I would not account arranged employment as a factor in your speedy AOR response.

It´s indeed the matter of chance.
Our story (SW, family, both are grad. students):
sent documents Oct 2003,
AOR Nov. 2003,
IA Aug. 2004,
Medicals + add. docs Sept. 2004,
nothing since then...waiting for PPR (medicals expire in 9 days). :) "that´s what i call ironic".....

your AOR might went fast but IA is a different story cause you gotta wait til people that applied before you did get IA and so far the last people who got IA according to crappy yogi799 were the App sent on Aug 04 so be prepared to wait at least a year before getting IA. Sorry to disappoint you and I really hope you don´t have to wait long

Hi Coolio: I also got my AOR 2 weeks after I sent my application in (AOR=August 10 2005), as did a couple other people on the board. The letter stated that they are processing applications from 36 weeks ago, and what I´m hearing is to expect to hear back in about a year. I don´t know if your arranged employment (lucky you!) will make any difference, but I think that at this point, all the applications just go in a pile, to be looked at on a first come first serve basis in 10-12+ months from now, depending on the visa office´s situation. It´s going to be a loooooonnnnnnnggggggg wait! Best of luck to you! :)

I just dont get the logic , why do they say that arranged employment is fast tracked if I have to wait 36 weeks anyways before I get my IA.
Hope my employer waits that long, as I do know that job offer is valid only for only 1 year and there is a rule that with arrnaged employment ,PR must be given within that year time frame.
O well here comes the waiting game..
