So I just received the "AOR" as someone named it. I guess there is still a long way to go until my application is Initially Assessed.
But how are we supposed to know when they will do it ? After they complete the IA, are they going to send you a mail right away ?
I read from somewhere that the CAIPS note may give you the bring forward date. So, is the Bring Forward Date also the IA date ?

After your documents will be IAed, and you will be approved, you can expect to get the request for interview or if interview is waived- for medical examination.

Please DO NOT apply for CAIPS notes before you get IA. It will be completely useless.
The Bring Forward Date does not give you any information about when you expect to get IA. It is just a system devised by the immigration officials so that a file does not get lost or does not get looked at by an immigration official.

You can look at other people´s timelines at www.yogi799.com.
CIC will send you a letter when IA begins. That´s how you know it is happening.

CIC DOES NOT TELL YOU WHEN THEY BEGIN YOUR IA...they just let you know when they finish it.
