| Subject: Meds reached Canada, is this the same as received? |

Hi...from the tracking numbers given by the doctor...I saw that our medicals just reached Canada. Is this the same as medical received or CIC still needs to do something with it like checking etc. before they acknowledge that they have received it? If that is the case, usually how long does it take for CIC to check everything regarding medicals? thanks for any inputs...

the fact that they got medicals usually means nothing.
they approve medicals when background checking is done. At least that´s my opinion: our medicals were requested and done in Sept. 2004, received by CIC in October 2004 (took 1.5 months), but CAIPS notes show that MedDec 0. Background checking is going on.

My doctor sent my medical via US mail registered post and gave me a number. However, USPS web site does not respond to this #. How was yours sent?

USPS too...I just keyed in the tracking number and then I could see what happened...when it left the state...when it left the US...when it cleared in the Canada customes nd when it was delivered....maybe you can double check with your doctor...he might have given you a wrong tracking number...just double check...goodluck
