Subject: Question about photos |

For the photo´s that need to be submited with the medical it clearly states that only one of the 5 should have your personal inforation on the back.
I can´t find anywhere that says if they want the photo shops stamp and date on the back or not, and of so on how many coppies.
Thanks
Shawn

(in reply to: Question about photos) I don´t know if I understand your query correctly, but when we did our medicals we only submitted 2 photos with no information at the back. Now I am wondering if we did something wrong but the doctor did not say anything against it. The photo should be recent though, if I am not mistaken (not really sure) at least less than 6 months old photo....goodluck

(in reply to: Question about photos) You are right Joe05this is what i did also and there is no such thing as writing infromation on photos, or a stamp by photographer...:) this is totally insane....

(in reply to: Question about photos) They want the subject´s name and DOB written on the back of 1 photo (and 1 only), lol, they actually sent our application back over this. We whited out the info on 4 of the 5 photos and sent it back, then all was well in their little world. (sounds silly, but it´s true)

(in reply to: Question about photos) I think there´s confusion because one group is talking about the photos submitted with the application for permanent residence and the other group is talking about photos for the medicals.

(in reply to: Question about photos) Just write only on 1 photo name and d.o.b. if it is for medical don´t write on other photos.

(in reply to: Question about photos) It may be the class of immigration and the country where you apply. I required 13 pictures 5 for medical and 8 for the main sponsorship application. For me it required one photo only in each set to have the DOB name etc - so therefore 2 pictures only one for the medical and one for the main application were stamped. I got the photographer to stamp the two photos with their stamp to indicate the date - makes it a little more official looking and that way immigration cant argue that the picture was taken more than 6 months ago etc.
Hope this helps!

(in reply to: Question about photos) When I got medicals forms to submit to Vienna it did not say it must be 6 months old and they asked for just 2 photos for each person. So I used the same photos what it was for the application 10 month ago. Hope i did not make a mistake

(in reply to: Question about photos) Thanks for the replys,
Ty, thanks, My medical application specifies 5 photos as well, after looking around I don´t think they need the photo shops stamp, but as you said it would eliminate any debate over when the photos we´re taken.
Steve, Apendix D (asian countries) specifies very clearly that you must have 5 photos and 1 needs info on the back. I guess the office in your region is different than mine.
FWChelle, it´s really pathetic that they couldn´t figure out how to use the whiteout themselves.
