Hi Ed,

Good for you. I´m wondering whats the secret behind that successful application process. :) Did you ask for an assistance from a third party or any agency here in Manila? Well anyway, hope you and your family are having a great stay there.

Hi Chris,

My application was submitted in the US. Apparently, Manila´s backlog is tremendous. Luckily (and with lots of prayers), I passed the interview and no problems whatsoever with my documents.

I´m still in Manila and will leave for Vancouver early next year. Looking forward to the trip as I haven´t been to Canada.

Again, good luck.

i need some info (in reply to: Manila PR (Skilled Worker) applicants, pls respond)
Hi Guys,
For those who applied in manila, I would like to ask if the embassy would personally mail the AOR or file number to your home address, or they will send it to DHL (post paid agreement). Until now, I havent receive my AOR (almost 2 months)...

thanks...

Hi,

AOR is being send through mail in the address you have specified in the Application form. I received my AOR 3 months after I submitted my application.
However, if you seek a third party or immig agency to assist you with your application process and assigned them as correspondence with the embassy in behalf of you, then probably they are the ones who will receive it and hand them over to you.

hello everyone!

I read through this thread and was quite curious with xn and king solomon´s timelines. Pls. clarify if the letter you received asking you to update your docs this year also had the request for medicals. We received ours recently with a paragraph about the medicals and refer to attached instructions and list of DMPs. However there was no instruction nor list attached. Researching we learned that the medical instructions include applicant and dependents´ photos so we assume that this is to follow. Do you think the intsructions are, as we assume, to folow or these may been forgotten? We know that there is a timeframe in doing the medicals and we wouldn´t want to unwittingly defy this.

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks and happy holidays to all.

hi ram,

I guess the letter they sent to me is the standard one. In there, they check only those requirements that are applicable to me. Like, they check the portion requiring for medicals (instructions also attached). They also check the portion requesting for updated application form and another check for payment of RPRF. Before these checcks, they inform me that i may not be called for interview.

In your case, i believe you should do your medicals as instructed. Any information request from the embassy will follow if they see it necessary afterwards. Good luck!

oh sorry, i may have missed the point! You should visit the embassy and ask for those medical instructions. Come early at the RCBC plaza (Buendia cor Ayala Ave) at the ground floor near deli france, because the queu is already long as early as 7 am. You will be assigned a number. Bring the letter and tell them there were no instructions attached. Good luck!
