| Subject: how long after sending passport?? |

hi,
my husband sent his passport to delhi on 12th aug and so far did not get it back. i sent delhi embassy an email and a fax stating i am going to deliever my first child on 24th sept. still no response. how long is it going to get his visa yet? any experience and a word of sympathy can ease my tension off. too worried even at this stage. please help n advice.

There is no standard time for CHc- New Delhi Ms. Worried. In order to help you with an advice I need to know your ECAS status. Does it say "In Process" or "Decision Made"?

Here are my timelines:
Sent passport to CHC-New Delhi on 25th August
They received it on August 29th.
They changed my status to Decision Made on Sept 5th.
Since you sent your passport on August 12th, you should have it back by now. I wouldn´t worry much though as the time varies from 7 days to 45 days.
I would suggest you wait till Sept 12th and then sent a fax again. Unfortunately, there is nothing much we can do about it other than sending fax.

DONT WORRY.......U WILL GET IT WITHIN 2 WEEKS.IN MY CASE IT TOOK THEM 33 DAYS.SO BE PATIENT.AND UR E-CLIENT STATUS WILL BE CHANGED INTO "DECISION MADE" AFTER THIS MONDAY NIGHT.

its already been 26 days and i am so worried as my pregnancy is very complicated too and i want my husband to join me at the earliest possible. God knows y is it taking so long!! i am so worried and confused. do u know any one who got interview call after the PPR. just wondering.

Noone gets interview after ppr. Don´t worry, it must be on the way. I can understand your pain. For me too even one day´s wait is killing both of us.

hi sumit,
thanx for being so understanding. can u please tell me ur time line right from beginning. like applied when in mississauga and then file moved and processing begin, etc. etc. u r the sponsor or ur wife is sponsoring u?
i hope u get it soon too.
