so that you can check the status of your visa application.
It is very simple...
After you send your file to the Canadian Visa Office (with
your application forms and documents), you will receive a file
number. With this number, you will be able to check the status
of your application online.
You will know exactly in which stage of the process is your
immigration file.
Isn´t that great?
It is a great feeling to check the status of your application,
and realize that your case is already being processed by a Visa
officer... :) You will feel like you are just one small step
from your dream...
I encourage you once again to submit your Permanent Residence
Visa application as soon as possible.

I would like to see a feature where you can FTP in to CIC´s intranet using your file number, and actually SLAP the visa officer assessing your case from a remote location.
Wouldn´t that be cool?!

As far as the "online status check system" (Or e-Client that CIC offers) is concerned mine is showing - "We started processing your application on January XY, 2004".
It really is a great feeling to check the status of your application!

Hey Alex: This is called "STUPID MARKETING STRATEGY" http://www.stepbystepimmigrationcanada.com is called SPAM by one of the memebers......If you can not market yourself, how would present the cases of others......thats why i advised you to come up with something new...like slaping the visa officer from a remote action like FWChelle said.....:) that was a good one FWChelle
