Subject: is RPRF payable by non-applicant also ?
  Hi,
My timeline is as under
Applied : Aug.2001
AOR : sep. 2001
Interview : waived
Asked for Medical : FEB 2004
Appeared for Medical:Apr. 2004

I am the only applicant & I paid processing fee for me alone
but medical was given for all 4 members although they are not in the process.

Now in this month CHC Delhi has asked me to pay others´ processing fees i.e. for 3 persons and RPRF for all 4.

My plan is to go alone initially and then to sponsor other family members who were mentioned in my application.

My question is -
Whether it is compulsory to pay RPRF & processing fee for all family members ? although they are not accompanying me ?
Thanks
Dyas

if you are the only applicant then its you who will pay the processing fee and the landing fee for yourself .

No what steve writes is not correct.

You applied as a family unit and shall complete application as a family unit. You will have to submit RPRF for all family members.

Steve is right Starwars.

Only accompanying members of the family have to pay the processing and landing fee.

Dyas - every member of the family has to get the medical done and has to undergo the background and security checks (If over 18 years old) even if they are not accompanying you to Canada.

Write a letter to CHC Delhi explaining your situation and send only your RPRF.

Dear All,

I had excatlly the same case. I have applied as a single applicant, paid the processing fees for ONLY ME and of course the application included my wife and two boys. When it came to the landing fees, they told me ove rht ephone clrealy, if you still want to travel alone pay for yourselve only but you will then need to reaply for your family when they decide to join you. But if you want to travel together, pay for the four of you and you will get 4 visas. When I said that I apid only one processign fees they said never mind.

So I paid for the four of us and we landed all together

Now, my recommendation is to travel together because going through the same process again for the family would take time, risk, and cost also.

Thanks a lot for everybody´s clarification.
Now, if the choice is there, I am going to pay for the family members, however, they are not accompanying me in short future.

Take care, they have to land within one year from their medical exams or otherwise the visa will expire.
