You should consult a professional immigration consultant on the issue. Only they will tell you for sure.

BTW, you know this will incurr substantial investing from your side (appox. 250,000 C$).

I´m immigrating under the skilled worker catagory and I´m self employed. My counsel only required me to provide letters from my clients stating how much I was paid, the amount of time I worked with them (at least part time with 2 clients), my responsibilities and title. All of this was to basically prove that I had at least 4 years of full time experience in my my profession. I don´t know where the 205K CDN comes from, I think that has more to do with people who are looking to invest in companies and such....I know I didn´t have to provide 250K.

Don´t confuse self employed with business class. There´s a distinct difference, in business class ( entrepreneur or investor ) you need to show proof of a net worth of 300.000 CAD ( not in cash , just your net "worth" ) and you need to have had a succesful business for 3 years prior to application.
I did it the entrepreneur way, didn´t had professional help and flew through it all in about 10 months.

i was maried and my wife was the principal aplicant under the skilled workers cat. however, problems in the mariage started to emerge and it ended just around the period when we where about to be granted the imigration visa.... my ex-wife, whom i am still on friendly terms with offered that we stay maried till we get to canada and then divorce... but i did not think that was honest... i am too mutch of an honest person.... so i went along with the divorce any way and forfited my right to the aplication as her acompaning spouse... gave her all the money we saved up... left my self $1K USD and now starting from scratch... i have been waiting for 4 years to go to canada... now i supose its going to be another year befor i can aply again (need to save up the minimum 10K CND... and hope that they will accecpt my new aplication.... my i used the selff assesment tool at CIC and my points where about 10 above the pass mark... i realy hope things work out cause the more i stay here in lebanon the worse i am begining to feel.... i dont regret the desition... to me honesty comes first... but it is beging to take its tole on me... i hate lebanon so much that i get more and more depressed by the minut.... depressed enugh to start having suicidal tendancies.... hell even the anti depresents and sedatives have stoped affecting me... not to mention that i have no sense of belonging here in leb... and most of my freinds have either stabed me in the back or abandond me in the times i needed them the most... i am curently experiancing nervouse brakdowns on a weekly basis... and i have yet to find a competant shrink here that can handel me... belive it or not ... i have been to many and i always seem to end up counseling them....
