Subject: Re:landing by rental car
1)Once I land by rental car......I will be going to get my US visa stamped there. In case i am denied visa, what do i need to do with the rental car(Alamo).

2)Can i just take rental car(one way) and drop it in canada.

3)For one of the questions i had posted on this forum i got a reply saying that.........we can tell the immigration officials that we will be dropping off the rental car in Canada. But if they ask for our rental car receipt,it will be showing that it is for 2 way.

Please advise.

u know what you should do, rent a one way car going to canada, drop it there, once you are there, and rent a one way car again while coming back to US and drop the car in US. STORY IS OVER...and if you are denied entry, which i am sure 100 % that they will not let you in because Cnadian Immigrants are required to apply for a visa at US Visa Consulate, they dont give entries to Canadian immigrants anymore after 9/11, only Canadian Citizen may enter US without a visa. So you better plan accordingly....good luck

You can always modify your insurance depending on what the outcome is.

However Steve is right you first should take a one way drop off in Canada rental.

Also plan for another rental on your way back

do you know how much is one-way rental and drop off?
you can buy a shitty car for landing. like those 500 dollar one.

my 86 corolla i bought for 600 bucks last year, I drove all the way from Nanaimo to Golden and back for my vacation.

Steve: is that right that Canadian PRs can´t visit the US without a visa? What if the PR is still a US citizen? I hadn´t considered this situation before. Any input is much appreciated.

come on wannabecanadian, if you are a US citizen then why are you worried for enering in US , u need nothing but a US passport dear.......do u think a citizen can be denied entry into his home country......? dont even think about it....VISA is required for Non-US Canadain PRs.
